Software to filter out existing addresses from GWR data

English text below Hallo zusammen Ich habe eine Software geschrieben, welche es erlaubt, in GWR-Datensätzen die in OSM bereits erfassten Adressen zu entfernen. Ziel ist es, den Import von GWR-Daten zu vereinfachen. Die Software gibt es hier: https://gitlab.com/ltog/gwr-filter/ Gerne nehme ich euer Feedback entgegen. Update GWR address data

I've updated the address data on http://qa.poole.ch/addresses/ch/ to the current GWR address data. There is one, larger, change from the previous update (mid-2019). As it seems to be a trend to add ancillary buildings now with house numbers in the format/number/*.*/number /I've removed them from both the statistics and the generated files, this removes a good 200'000 addresses from the current dataset (note if somebody wants this data I can generate files with them included). This, naturally, doesn't address the problem with non-postal house numbers and the different ways of handling them in general, put should limit the effect it has to the places and cantons that are not using a numbering scheme that doesn't differentiate these in format. Overpass API Query running under nodejs

Hello, We are running a javascript script (developed for us by Matthew Moy de Vitry who worked on the water-fountains.org project) in the server side nodejs environment that relies on dependent npm modules. The npm module we use to interface with the overpass is query-overpass and the npm module it uses to convert OSM JSON to a standard geojson collect is osmtogeojson. Is this the best way to query overpass for osm nodes and build a geojson collection in the nodejs environment ? Best regards, Stuart

Regio-OSM Ausfall

Double city labels in Mapbox map

Hi all, While displaying a Mapbox map, I noticed that the label of the city of Vevey is rendered twice. [1] After some investigations, I couldn't find the reason for that. As I can see, the lower label is the admin_center [2] of the boundary relation but I haven't seen which object is the upper label. Could someone familiar with administrative boundaries and/or Mapbox styling please take a look, if it is a mapping or rendering issue? Thank you in advance. Hi Marc, Thanks for you answer. In your example "Misery-Courtion" and "Misery" are not the labelled with the same size, so I'm not sure that is the same case as for Vevey (where the labels are the same size). Any other ideas? Anmeldung zum OSM-Samstag und zur FOSSGIS-Konferenz 2020 in Freiburg im Breisgau geöffnet

Hallo, vom 11. bis 14. März 2020 werden die deutschsprachige FOSSGIS-Konferenz 2020 und der OSM-Samstag in Freiburg im Breisgau stattfinden. https://fossgis-konferenz.de/2020/ https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/FOSSGIS_2020/OSM-Samstag Die FOSSGIS-Konferenz ist die deutschsprachige Konferenz für OpenStreetMap und Freie und Open-Source-Software für Geoinformationssysteme. An den ersten drei Tagen gibt es Vorträgen und kostenpflichtige Hands-On-Workshops. Am Samstag, den 14. März findet in den Räumen der Universität Freiburg der OSM-Samstag statt. Dieser ist als Unkonferenz (Barcamp) und Mappertreffen gedacht und richtet sich an Mapper, Entwickler und OSM-Interessierte. Anders als bei der Konferenz wird das Programm nicht im Vorfeld von einem Programmkomitee festgelegt, sondern gemeinsam am Morgen in der Einführung und Begrüßung anhand der Vorschläge der Teilnehmer festgelegt. Am OSM-Samstag kann man selbstverständlich auch teilnehmen, wenn man keinen Beitrag zum Programm hat! Die Teilnahme am OSM-Samstag 2020 ist kostenfrei und unabhängig von der FOSSGIS-Konferenz möglich. Die Anmeldung erfolgt über den Ticketshop unter https://pretix.eu/fossgis/2020/. Weitere Informationen zum OSM-Samstag sowie erste Themenvorschläge gibt es im OSM-Wiki. Am Abend des ersten Konferenztages, 11. März 2020, findet die Abendveranstaltung "Schwätzli uffem Campus" statt. Am Abend des 12. März findet die Mitgliederversammlung des FOSSGIS e.V. statt. Tagging Free Water for cafés, bars, restaurant

Dear All, I thought this subject could wait, but it is becoming pressing early than I expected. As part of our project (and that of similar non-profits - most of which are not open data but nevertheless great organisations), we want to voluntarily encourage cafés, bars and restaurants to offer free tap water bottle refill to anyone off the street. Refill has had significant success in the UK and surprising the feedback is that the impact of increased customer traffic far outweighs any issue of cannibalization. If it is not already the case, I would like to work with you with on developing a tagging standard for this case which maybe we can vet in a wider OSM audience. Maybe "amenity = cafe & free_water = yes" It would be important to develop at the same time a distinct tag for another cause, which we support but will not be targeting is restaurants which offer free tap water for paying customers. Maybe "amenity = restuarant & free_carafe = yes" Many thanks, Stuart

Urgent translation request

Hello, The person who agreed to translate the wiki instructions from English to German for adding fountains in OpenStreetMap and fountains of photos to wikimedia commons is not responding. Can someone or some people please help out with this? We will be making a 8 minute presentation of our 100% open data and collaborative project to 860 students from 48 countries at the United Nations on Wednesday, 8th of January. Overpass high load times ?

Hello, Are there times of the day when the overpass API https://overpass-api.de/api/interpreter is slower than others ? I get few time outs, but it would be nice if I could avoid the peak usage times - when possible. Thank you, Stuart
