Project of the Month (PotM) CH: Schulen / Schools / Écoles! (Juni 2021)

Liebe OSM-Interessierte, liebe Mapper:innen Cher personnes intéressées à l'OSM, cher mappeurs En français ci-dessous Einige Leute vom Schweizer OSM Chapter, SwissOSM, planen schon seit einiger Zeit eigene Aktionen unter dem Namen "Projekt des Monats Schweiz" (PotM CH). Dabei liessen wir uns vom franzöischen Project-du-Mois und vom deutschen "Schwerpunkt der Woche" inspirieren. Dies ist nun das erste "PotM CH Mail" dazu. Im allerersten Beim "Projekt des Monats Schweiz" vom Juni 2021 geht es darum, Schulen zu erfassen! Schulen waren auch das Thema am Mapathon anlässlich des vergangenen OSM-Sonntag vom 6. Juni, der anlässlich der FOSSGIS-Konferenz 2021 stattfand. Bei solchen PotM geht es darum, gemeinsam an einem bestimmten OpenStreetMap-Thema einen Monat lang gezielt zu arbeiten. Das dient der gezielten Verbesserung der Daten. Und Mapper:innen können auf ein Thema aufmerksam gemacht werden. Es gibt zurzeit zwei wichtige Webseiten zu PotM CH: * Erstens die dreisprachige Webseite (noch im Aufbau), kurz "OSM-Wiki" genannt. https://wiki.osm.org/wiki/PotM_CH * Zweitens die Superset Webapp, kurz "Dashboard" genannt: https://potm.osm.ch/superset/dashboard/12/ Erwartet zunächst noch nicht zuviel von einer PotM, denn Mapper:innen sind nicht immer gut zu erreichen - mal sehen! Im Dashboard oben sieht man u.a. schön den "Peak" als am Schulen am OSM-Sonntag erfasst wurden. Haben Sie selber eine Idee für ein PotM CH? Dann lesen auf dem OSM-Wiki weiter. Freundliche Grüsse, Stefan --- Certaines personnes du chapitre suisse de l'OSM, SwissOSM, planifient depuis un certain temps leurs propres actions sous le nom de "Projet du mois Suisse" (PotM CH). Nous nous sommes inspirés du Projet-du-Mois français et du "Schwerpunkt der Woche" allemand. Il s'agit du premier "PotM CH Mail". Le tout premier "Projet du mois Suisse" de juin 2021 concerne la cartographie des écoles ! Les écoles ont également été le sujet du Mapathon à l'occasion du dernier Dimanche OSM du 6 juin, qui a eu lieu à l'occasion de la conférence FOSSGIS 2021. Les PotMs comme celui-ci consistent à travailler ensemble sur un sujet spécifique d'OpenStreetMap de manière ciblée pendant un mois. Cela permet d'améliorer les données de manière ciblée. Et les mappeurs peuvent être mis au courant d'un sujet. Il existe actuellement deux sites web importants pour le PotM CH: * Tout d'abord, le site web trilingue (encore en construction), appelé "OSM Wiki" pour faire court. https://wiki.osm.org/wiki/PotM_CH * Deuxièmement, la webapp de Superset, appelée "Dashboard" pour faire court: https://potm.osm.ch/superset/dashboard/12/ N'attendez pas encore trop d'un PotM, car les mappeurs ne sont pas toujours faciles à joindre - voyons voir! Dans le tableau de bord ci-dessus, vous pouvez voir joliment, entre autres, le nombre d'oscillations qui ont été enregistrées dans les écoles le Dimanche OSM. Avez-vous une idée pour un PotM CH? Draft changes for the hiking network wiki page

Dear All Since after the online meeting a while ago I tried to formulate a draft based on the discussions on the mailing list / the meeting. Due to lack of time and energy, this took unfortunately a lot longer than I initially thought. The current draft can be found here https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RIn4vOpPggEzJOv9AMl1egxzeMLpkgxF0q8nWuF… Unfortunately, I can't send the PDF version (for people that do not want to access a google server) to the mailing list, as it is too big. But I'm open to suggestions for alternatives. If you like, please create comments directly in the document or reply to this email when you have feedback. The idea would be to collect all discussion points at the bottom of the document and mark the discussed parts of the document with comments. When writing the draft, I had the following thoughts: - It would be could to include some background information about the Swiss hiking network as this could give some context for the rest of the document and might facilitate discussions about the topic. - There are different opinions on what level of detail the hiking network should be mapped. It is thus important to clearly state a minimal goal but also allow some flexibility. - Changes to the wiki page should not contradict existing mapped relations, except there are good reasons for it (such as e.g. the issue with using name tags for relations that clash with nominatim) - Figures are sometimes better to explain things than text. - For some regions, open datasets exist that contain the hiking network but no information about guideposts. These datasets should be usable. lg rene

PotM CH: September 2021 - Charging Stations: Nur noch 5 Tage!

Liebe Mapper:innen Das neue Projekt des Monats September 2021 zum Thema "Charging Stations" (Elektrotankstellen bzw. Ladestationen für Elektrofahrzeuge) läuft nur noch noch 5 Tage! Es gibt immer noch einiges zu tun. Ein Blick z.B. auf Uster-Wetzikon zeigt, dass da noch einige Ladestationen fehlen. An der ersten Stelle hat sich Voonosm praktisch uneinholbar festgesetzt, gefolgt von dbrgn. Die beiden Plätze scheinen gesetzt während das "Rennen" um den dritten Platz noch offen ist ;-). Dies geht jedenfalls aus dem Dashboard hervor: https://potm.osm.ch/superset/dashboard/14/ . Dabei muss ich darauf hinweisen, dass Dashboard immer noch von Hand aktualisiert werden muss. Das letzte Mal war am vergangenen Freitag, d.h. die darunterliegende OSM-History-DB enthält Daten von vor drei Tagen (also bis Donnerstagabend). Wir arbeiten dran...! Ein schöner Nebeneffekt solcher Aktionen ist immer auch, dass die Dokumentation verbessert wird - und diese hier ist sehr brauchbar: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/DE:Project_of_the_month_Switzerland/Cha… . Mein grosser Wunsch dazu ist, dass diese Spezial-Wiki-Seite in irgendeiner Form mit der originale Wiki-Seite zu "amenity=charging_station" integriert oder wenigstens verknüpft wird. Ich werde kaum Zeit dazu haben. Ich muss mich auf das PotM-Management konzentrieren - das nächste PotM steht bereits an! Beste Grüsse und Happy Mapping, Stefan P.S. Tag pour des tas de bois ?

Bonjour, Dans ma région il y a de nombreux troncs de bois empilés, utilisés pour le chauffage à bois. Ils sont fréquemment recouvert de tôles pour les protéger des précipitations. Est-ce qu'il existe un tag particulier pour ces éléments ? J'avais pensé par exemple à "man_made=wood_stack", mais j'aimerai avoir votre avis avant de l'utiliser ... Merci pour vos réponses ! Mechanischer Edit (bronce zu bronze)

Guetenabezäme Letzhin bin ich über eine Notiz [0] gestolpert, die erwähnt, dass in Bern einige Elemente mit `material=bronce` statt `material=bronze` getaggt sind (jeweils noch mit Zusatz [1,2]). Das lustige Material schreibt sich in jeder unserer vier Landessprachen und in Englisch mit einem Z :) Ich würde das gerne in JOSM mit suchen-und-ersetzen korrigieren, was zwar fast nur eine einfache Tippfehler-Korrektur ist, aber trotzdem ein mechanischer Edit [3]. Hat jemand der Mitlesenden hier etwas dagegen? Dann meldet euch doch hier, ansonsten werde ich das so in ca. einer Woche mal machen. Confine nazionale impreciso sul Monte Generoso / Ungenaue Landesgrenze auf dem Monte Generoso

(Unten auf Deutsch) Ciao a tutti Ho notato che il confine nazionale sul Monte Generoso è impreciso su OSM (errore tra 3 e 10 metri). Per quanto ne so, le cippi di confine degli anni 1900 e 1914 sono ancora valide – ma in OSM il confine corre accanto alle cippi di confine (esempio [1]). Inoltre, la Cappelletta della Madonna della Provvidenza è in territorio svizzero – ma in OSM è in Italia. [2] Mi è permesso di correggere il confine con l'aiuto di swissBOUNDARIES3D [3]? Posso importare lo shapefile direttamente in JOSM, o devo ancora convertire il sistema di riferimento delle coordinate? Meines Wissens sind die Grenzsteine aus den Jahren 1900 und 1914 nach wie vor gültig – bei OSM verläuft die Grenze jedoch neben den Grenzsteinen (Beispiel [1]). Ausserdem befindet sich die Cappelletta della Madonna della Provvidenza auf Schweizer Boden – in OSM befindet sich sich jedoch in Italien. [2] Darf ich die Grenze mithilfe von swissBOUNDARIES3D [3] korrigieren? To resolve this, you could look at the legal documents that define the boundary. To find them, one source is the International Boundary Study on the Swiss/Italian border <https://fall.fsulawrc.com/collection/LimitsinSeas/IBS012.pdf>, which the US State Department published as part of a global series <https://fall.fsulawrc.com/collection/LimitsinSeas/numericalibs.html> in 1961. A better (more up-to-date and actually authoritative) source is fedlex.admin.ch, specifically SR 0.132 <https://www.fedlex.admin.ch/de/cc/international-law/0.13#0.132> which lists Switzerland’s international boundary treaties currently in force. For example, SR 0.132.454.221 <https://www.fedlex.admin.ch/eli/cc/1976/2029_2029_2029/de> is a treaty from 1976 where Switzerland and Italy agreed to modify their border along river Breggia. (Minor detail: Actually, this linked document is merely an informative, non-binding translation to German. For this particular treaty, the authoritative version is the Italian text; for every Swiss law, the SR page indicates which language version is authoritative). Unfortunately, the computer system for the “Sammlung der Räte” (SR) can’t publish graphics yet, only text. To see the map, you need to head over to the Swiss Federal Archives and retrieve the corresponding file in the “Amtliche Sammlung” (AS). [In computing terms, AS is basically a collection of changes to Swiss federal law, and SR is the current head revision of the main branch]. In German, the ID of the “changeset” starts with the letters “AS” (“RO” in French, “RU” in Italian), and this “changeset” is linked from the infobox in the SR page. In the example of River breggia, this is AS 1976 2029 <https://www.fedlex.admin.ch/eli/oc/1976/2029_2029_2029/de>, which links to a search page, ultimately (after some clicks) leading to this scanned map <https://www.amtsdruckschriften.bar.admin.ch/viewOrigDoc/30001559.pdf?ID=300…> . Italy surely has a similar system for its legal documents, and in case of uncertainties, it would certainly make sense to look at both versions. If anyone wants to spend time researching all this, it might be good to add it to the Wikipedia page on the Italy-Switzerland border <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italy%E2%80%93Switzerland_border> so it’s easier to find for others. The German version already has a section for the legal documents <https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grenze_zwischen_Italien_und_der_Schweiz#Recht…>, but it seems to be quite incomplete. — Sascha
