LG, Stefan

Hi, thanks again to everybody who offered to help with the French translation. The French version is now online. Should anybody want to help with an Italian or Rumantsch version, please let me know. access, mal wieder

Gruss Sarah

Swiss Public Transport Map
by Beni Buess 04 Jun '11

Hi Meet the new Swiss Public Transport Map: http://map.xiala.net This is currently just a proof of concept, more features should land in the coming weeks. I'd really like to get some feedback. Map Tiles are from openstreetmap.org Stations/Stops are from Cloudmade Geocoding API. Timetable Information via SBB API [1] from sbb.ch Does anybody know of a service to get all nodes of a relation, just like [2] without abusing the OSM API? hiking map moves
by Sarah Hoffmann 02 Jun '11

Hi all, after the old server has become to small, the hiking map had to move to another server. I have use the opportunity to give the map a complete overhaul. The new map is now at http://hiking.lonvia.de There will no longer be a special Swiss version because there wasn't really any difference with the world version. The old URLs will continue to work but it would be nonetheless good, if you could adapt your bookmarks and links. If you are using the tiles in your own maps, please note that the new URL for tiles is http://tile.lonvia.de/hiking I am also looking for translation help for the map. It now supports proper internationalisation and it would be really cool to have it in all four official Swiss languages, although for the moment I'd be already happy if somebody from the Romand side could have a look at the French translation. So, if you are interested in helping, just write me an email. Sarah

Status ODBL acceptance Switzerland
by Simon Poole 31 May '11

31 May '11

If you haven't been following the process a short summary (all numbers for Switzerland only): - from the top 100 mappers (pre May 2010) all but 4 have accepted the new contributor terms, 2 simply haven't decided yet, 1 has declined (however he has indicated that he is not really fundamentally opposed) and one is simply being difficult :-). - from the mappers between position 101 and 200, a total of 17 are missing, with 2 declines and the rest simply haven't decided yet, or haven't been reached (the current mailing hasn't addressed pre May 2010 mappers yet). - in total from the top 200 we are missing roughly 3 % from 86% on a last edit base, and from all edits (100%) roughly 8% - what I didn't expect at the beginning of the process is that we already have a "popular vote" majority (52%) despite a lot of the old and very small mappers not being easy to reach Simon

opendata.ch 2011 (24.
by Stefan Keller 31 May '11

31 May '11

ODbL acceptance status updates for Switzerland suspended
by Sarah Hoffmann 30 May '11

30 May '11

Hi all, I will suspend the ODbL acceptance page for Switzerland at http://osm.lonvia.de/stuff/odbl_agreement_ch.txt effective tonight. I have to switch servers and don't feel it's worth setting up all this stuff again. There won't be any significant changes anymore until the next stage of licence change. There are other interesting sites to check the status of ODbL agreement. Here are the most important ones: http://fred.dev.openstreetmap.org/ http://ni.kwsn.net/~toby/OSM/license_count.html http://osm.informatik.uni-leipzig.de/map/ Cheers Sarah

by Simon Poole 17 May '11

I've added a page to the wiki documenting the work that has already (most of rather a long time ago) been done to document the national and regional inline skating routes: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/EN:Switzerland/InlineNetwork Simon
