boundary and river node merge

Hi all, http://osm.org/go/0CSYTVpk In this area, the boundary (Cossonay) and the river (La Venoge) share the same location. Would be correct to merge the nodes in this section? (they are strongly related) Or align the nodes without a merge, or do nothing ... Thanks, fredj

Orthofotos mit Gleitschirm

Hallo zäme Ich habe diese Woche gerade mit der Gleitschirmausbildung begonnen. Da stellt sich natürlich die Frage – wäre das wohl geeignet zum Erstellen von Orthofotos? Die Luft müsste natürlich relativ ruhig sein, damit man anständige Fotos machen kann. Zudem müsste man zu jedem Foto die Position und Höhe tracken. Würde wohl ein Vario/GPS-Tracker in Kombination mit den Foto-Timestamps reichen. Hat da jemand schon Erfahrung, oder gibt es entsprechende Projekte? Gruss Danilo

Help mapping non-mapped areas of Tajikistan

Dear all, I am using this channel to broadcast this information to all interested mappers. We have bought and put online a high-resolution imagery of the town of Khorog <http://osm.org/go/zxm5A1KA-->,in Tajikistan. Khorog (30000 inhabitants) is located at the Afghan border, 2000m a.s.l. and is highly exposed to natural disasters (earthquakes, avalanches, landslides...). The goal of our project is to build upon OSM to provide the first detailed spatial database ever. Those data will then be used (amongst others) for disaster risk reduction. If you wish to participate, here is some additional information: The first priority is to map: - All roads / streets / alleys - All buildings - Main natural elements (riverbed, landcover...) Hi Simon Ich habe Mühe mit der Gegend Brienz und Grindelwald. Diese Gegend ist auch noch mager erfasst. Für ein Schlecht-Wetter-Hobby sind alle diese Hintergrund-Karten wohl unentbehrlich? AGIS and SOGIS aerial imagery in P2 (Potlatch 2) / AGIS und SOGIS Luftbilder in P2

The imagery from the Cantons Aargau and Solothurn is now directly available from the "Background" menu if you are currently editing an area which is covered by the resp. sources (this is based on a bounding box which due to the rather irregular shape of both cantons naturally is not particularly exact). If anybody wants to have additional sources listed directly I'll have a look at it. -- Die Luftbilder der Kantone Aargau und Solothurn sind jetzt direkt vom "Hintergrund" menu verfügbar, falls man ein Gebiet bearbeitet, dass durch die Quellen abgedeckt ist (da beide Kantone etwas spezielle Umrisse haben und die Berechnung mit einem Rechteck erfolgt, ist dies nur grob richtig). Falls jemand noch andere Quellen gerne direkt verfügbar haben möchte, bitte bei mir melden. Simon

Bonjour Frédéric, Personally, I haven't made my own maps yet, although I played with the idea several times. The kowoma map goes a bit in the direction of the Swiss maps: http://www.kowoma.de/gps/freieKarten/osmkowomafreizeitkarte.html But when it comes to the differentiation of different types of paths and tracks, my favourite map is the one from openmtbmap.org. Extremecarver used to publish his style files under CCBYSA, but stopped doing so about a month ago. If you are interested, the last version I got is from 23.6.2012. Salutations, Thorsten (Shernott)

Mkgmap style suisse pour mon garmin

Bonjour, Est-ce que quelqu’un s'est déjà penché sur la personnalisation du rendu pour un gps Garmin avec mkgmap? Je cherche à générer des cartes pour mon garmin eTrex utilisable en randonnée et VTT. Actuellement avec le style par défaut j'ai toutes les pistes "grade 1-5" qui se retrouvent sous la désignation "routes non pavé" Donc je vais devoir créer un style personnalisé mais avant je voudrais savoir si l'un d'entre vous a déjà fait qqch qui ressemble à nos cartes nationale. Hoi Raphael Internationale Seeregeln und schweizerische Gewässer-Signalisation? Wenn Tags da sind, werden es die Leute auch erfassen; 1:1 umsetzbar von der Realität auf dei Karte.
