18. Mapathon & Mapping Party Rapperswil, Fr. 24. April 2026, 14:15-21:00

Am Freitagnachmittag, 24. April 2026 ab 14:15 Uhr findet der 18. Mapathon & Mapping Party auf dem Campus Rapperswil der FH OST statt. Es handelt sich um eine Mapping-Party (outdoor), weil einige – die sogenannten „Craftmapper“ – nach draussen gehen und die Umgebung erfassen, beispielsweise Gebäudeinformationen. Gleichzeitig ist es auch ein Mapathon (indoor) für die „Couchmapper”, die vom Laptop aus z.B. gezielt Objekte erfassen („Targetted Editing”). Einsteiger:innen von 16 bis 99 Jahren sind herzlich willkommen! Es können auch Fragen gestellt werden („Ask-us-Anything”). Gesprochen wird hauptsächlich Deutsch, manchmal auch Englisch. Wir treffen uns um 14:15 Uhr im Erdgeschoss des Seegebäudes 6. Man kann auch später kommen (und früher gehen). Ab 18:30 Uhr beginnt der gemütliche Teil. Weitersagen! Natursteinplatten Mappen

Hallo zusammen Für Natursteinplatten gibt es offiziell gar kein Tag. Ich möchte die grossen geschliffenen Platten die oft in Fusdgängerzonen verlegt sind. Pavement_stone passt nicht da diese viel kleiner sind. Beton_plates auch nicht, da die meist wesentlich grössere Fugen haben. Aus Rollstuhlfahrer Sicht kommen sie Asphalt sehr nahe, ist aber auch nicht korrekt Eine Möglichkeit wäre noch paving_stones in Kombination mit smothness anzugeben. Was meint Ihr? Haltestellen bzw. Haltebalken nur einmal beschriften

Guten Abend Zusammen Gibt es eine Möglichkeit oder eine geeignete Abfrage, Haltestellen bzw. Haltebalken so darzustellen, dass sie nur einmal beschriftet werden? Aktuell werden sie bei uns mehrfach beschriftet, was die Darstellung etwas unübersichtlich macht. Gerne würde ich das vereinfachen und bin dankbar für Hinweise, Lösungsansätze oder Abfragen. Mapillary Celebration in Zürich

Hoi säme, Everyone is welcome to join us this coming Thursday at the Meta office in Zürich, where the Mapillary team is celebrating 3 billion user contributed images with demos, apero, and snacks. I am not certain what the food options are so would consider coming hungry, hopefully not having to eat more after (my own plan), or if you find it risky don't follow this advice! Playgrounds on private property

Hoi säme! I recently put together a website: https://playmap.ch I made this for my own needs to start, with two young kids and looking for nearby playgrounds. Makes it just slightly easier than with Organic Maps. Some feedback I got is that many of the playgrounds I pulled into the map are on private property. This is after I already filtered out anything with access=private. I was thinking I could overlay my data on property parcels to remove any on private parcels but I am sure that some number of somewhat public playgrounds may be lost there anyway: does anyone have an opinion on that? Otherwise I was thinking putting the results of this overlay onto MapRoulette might be a nice community project to add access tags, but it can be difficult also without local knowledge.
