Hello
There seems to be quite a mess with pedestrian paths in Sion. The main problem is that pedestrian paths are almost not connected to the road network. This results in very weird pedestrian routes like:
http://www.openstreetmap.org/directions?engine=graphhopper_foot&route=46...
I tried fixing things but did not manage to insert missing shared points between crossing lines using the openstreetmap.org/edit editor.
Can somebody help fixing that?
And in general: Please be aware of pedestrian routing when editing pedestrian ways.
Thanks Christian
Hi Christian
That looks awful. Those ways were really not connected to anything, sometimes not even to each other. And it looks quite superfluous as well, no need to map each side walk separately. Fixing goes well with josm. That is a task which is rather difficult in iD. I hope I have found most issues. We will see tomorrow with the routing update.
