Rapid Mapping imagery Valais / Ticino

This is just a heads up: I've asked the "Bundesamt für Umwelt" BAFU if we can have access to their "Rapid Mapping" imagery for the disaster areas which would be useful to at least block/remove infrastructure that has been permanently damaged and divert people using OSM based apps away from the affected areas. See https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/misox-rapid-mapping-daten-fur-osm-nut… Unluckily they haven't responded yet, so if anybody from the affected cantons / areas wants to coordinate adding some additional pressure on them, please get in contact with me. Diskussionsfäden mit Schweiz-Bezug landen am besten in der Schweiz-Kategorie, das Discourse-Forum wird aber generell rege weltweit genutzt und soll auch dazu dienen alle Mapper:innen weltweit zu vernetzten. Einzelne Beiträge können einfach übersetzt werden und die Suchfunktion in Discourse ist auch etwas ergonomischer zu bedienen als die Suche im Mailinglisten-Archiv, so dass auch einfach auf ältere Beiträge Bezug genommen werden kann. Die Mailingliste hier bleibt eine Möglichkeit für Diskussionen mit Schweiz-Bezug, das Forum ist momentan einfach ein zusätzlicher Kanal, der von der OpenStreetMap Foundation [3] betrieben wird. Photovolatik Panel einzeln einzeichnen - Ist das sinnvoll?

Hallo zusammen, Ist es wirklich sinnvoll jedes Panel einzeln einzutragen?? Updated address statistics and comparison with GWR data

I’ve been running https://qa.poole.ch/addresses/ch/ since 2017 when the GWR ordinance was changed to allow public access to the address data. However as the site title says/said, this was based purely on counting the addresses per municipality and not on an actual comparison of the address data. This week I at last got around to improving it a bit and I believe it to be substantially more useful now. Nein, nicht Appenzell Innerrhoden :) Hat mal jemand mit den Möglichkeiten ein Projekt gestartet, das per AI automappt (natürlich überwacht)? Theoretisch müsste es für AI ideal sein, ein DTM oder kontrastreiche Luftbilder komplett selbstständig zu analysieren, zu warnen, selbst zu vervollständigen etc?

Ankündigung eines semi-automatisierten Imports: Schweizer Gipfel und Pässe aus swissNAMES3D

Liebe Mapper:innen Gerne möchte ich hiermit einen "Semi-Automated Import" - besser gesagt, einen computer-gestützten Import - ankündigen. Es geht dabei um Schweizer Gipfel und Pässe und zwar nur um diejenigen, die noch nicht in OSM sind. Als Quelle wurde swissNAMES3D verwendet (siehe die Wiki-Seite [1]). Die Ankündigung wurde auch hier [2] im Wiki in der Tabelle zuunterst dokumentiert. Die Nutzungsbedingungen zusammen mit dem FAQ von swisstopo erlauben diese Nutzung. In einem vorgängigen Schritt wurden alle Gipfel und Pässe aus swissNAMES3D selektiert, bei denen in OSM im Umkreis von 100m kein anderer POI existiert. Das ergibt 728 potentiell neue Schweizer Pässe und 1227 potentiell neue Schweizer Gipfel. Damit diese potentiell neuen Eintragungen effizient validiert ("auditiert") werden können, haben wir das Tool "Conflator Audit" ausgebaut und publiziert [3]. Jede:r Mapper:in kann dort mithelfen zu validieren. Gipfel sind natural=peak. Dabei kann es vorkommen, dass in OSM in der Nähe auch gleichamige place=locality oder tourism_viewpoint existieren könnten. Bei den Pässen muss darauf geachtet werden, dass swissNAMES3D nicht zwischen Pass und Sattel unterscheidet, während OSM einerseits den topographischen Sattel kennt (natural=saddle) und andererseits den Pass, als höchster Punkt auf einem Weg oder Strasse (getaggd als Node auf dem Way mit mountain_pass=yes). Falls wirklich ein Weg- oder Strassen-Pass vorkommt, muss das im Conflator Audit als "Invalid/Insufficient" markiert werden. Das wird dann im Nachgang anders importiert als der "Normalfall" Sattel. Als Changeset Tag wird #swissnames3d_osm_ch verwendet werden und als Source Tag source=swisstopo. Bei Fragen stehe ich gerne zur Verfügung. Happy Mapping! Photomapping

Hallo zusammen Ich möchte eigentlich Photomappen. Doch irgendwie habe ich hier den Dreh noch nicht ganz raus. Wenn ich die Fotos direkt im JOSM adde, dann zeigt es mir an, dass ich einen Bug reporten soll. Ich weiss nicht, ob das damit zu tun hat, dass ich JOSM auf Ubuntu (Distro Version) nutze. Eine aktuelle Developer Version habe ich nun noch nicht versucht. Wenn ihr Photomappt, was nutzt ihr dann, welche Programmkombinationen funktionieren. Gruss Raphael
