Dear Swiss OSM community As every year, in the night from 2024-11-31 to 2025-01-01, municipalities will be merged and reformed. Based on the BFS/FSO list, I have created a list, in the wiki [1], of which municipalities will be changed. There is also a suggested workflow on how to do this. Anyone who is more or less familiar with JOSM is welcome to join. Please check the “Effective” field, the ticino municipalities will merge in spring. Hallo zusammen Bei Taxiständen in der Schweiz ist es üblich, dass die nicht nur von einem Betreiber genutzt werden können. In vielen Gemeinden gibt es Taxikonzesionen, diese sind dann berechtigt, an einem Bahnhof zu stehen. Oft sind das aber unterschiedliche Betreiber, die andere Telefonnummern und oft auch andere Zeiten haben. In OSM scheint es nicht so einfach zu sein, verschiedene Operatoren zu listen. Gibt es da eine Möglichkeit? Gruss Raphael

Address and Street Data Updates

I've updated the underlying GWR data for https://qa.poole.ch/addresses/ch/ and https://qa.poole.ch/ch-roads/ to the current data as of yesterday (2024-10-29) the previous data was from April 2024. Since the GWR switched to including all buildings and not just those with a postal address a couple of years ago I've filtered out addresses of the form NN.N from the overall statistics (they are available in the files that contain "all" entries) as these are not "real" addresses, I've further refined that now by ignoring buildings with the category values 1010 and 1080 see https://www.housing-stat.ch/de/help/42.html The changes and the update has reduced the overall count of relevant addresses in the GWR from 2'407'343 to 2'367'012 and the number of these missing in OSM from 732'394 to 698'960, the largest change probably being in Zürich which lost ~4'000 (Zürich is one of the municipalities that historically assigned any kind of building a regular house number, including for example the platform roofs at Altstetten station). The overall number of buildings (not addresses) in the GWR went up from 3'239'916 to 3'264'326 over the half year period since April. Simon

Hallo zusammen Seit einigen Tagen erhalte folgende Fehlermeldung bei einer Abfrage auf https://overpass-turbo.osm.ch/ Ein Fehler ist während der Ausführung der Abfrage aufgetreten. Folgendes hat die API als Fehlermeldung zurückgegeben: Error: runtime error: open64: 111 Connection refused /srv/ overpass.osm.ch/db//osm3s_v0.7.58_areas Unix_Socket::7 Leider habe ich nicht genau herausgefunden, wer diesen Service betreibt. Was haltet ihr von sowas: https://www.openstreetmap.org/edit#map=17/46.474752/7.459066 Verzettelte Häuser (dürfte es auch zB im Toggenburg etc geben), und dann wird eine solche Zugangsstrasse als "Ortsstrasse" deklariert. Ist etwas Ortsstrasse, wenn es Teil eines dichten Ortes ist (Dorf, Stadt, Weiler), oder einfach nur, weil Häuser einer Gemeide zugeordnet sind? Ich handle das wie ersteres. Diese Hangstrasse wär für mich Nebenstrasse (und manchmal asphaltierter Feldweg und manchmal Zufahrtsstrasse .. ich find das echt schwierig bei vereinzelten Bauernhäusern etc :) ). Ich will hier übrigens nix kritisieren, lediglich Anleitung. Cheers, Philippe

Es ist eine Mapping Party (outdoor), weil einige - die sogenannten "Craftmapper" - nach draussen gehen, um die Umgebung zu erfassen, wie z.B. Gebäudeinformationen oder Öffnungszeiten. Dann ist es auch ein Mapathon (indoor) für die "Couchmapper", die z.B. vom Laptop aus gezielt Objekte erfassen ("Targeted Editing"). Auch Einsteiger/innen und Softwareentwickler/innen sind herzlich willkommen! Und es können Fragen gestellt werden ("Ask-us-Anything"). Die Sprachen sind Deutsch und Englisch. Wir holen das später nach. Nach einem Systemupdate haben wir Probleme, Superset wieder bereitzustellen. Aber wir arbeiten an einer neuen Instanz, die so schnell wie möglich online gehen wird. Das könnte Ende März 2024 sein. Ob es für den "Mapathon & Mapping Party Rapperswil" am 22. März reicht, ist nicht sicher (übrigens: schon angemeldet?). Wie auf der PotM-Wiki-Seite [1] erwähnt, wird das PotM-Dashboard eine weitere, neue Datenquelle anzeigen können: Nicht die Änderungen in der OSM-Datenbank werden erfasst, sondern die Änderungen im Tool "cf_audit GUI". Dieses "Conflation Tool" nimmt Daten aus externen Quellen - hier der Stadt Winterthur - und gleicht sie mit OSM ab. Mit seinem Tool ist es möglich, aus den Daten, die swisstopo zur Verfügung stellt [3], eine Datei zu erstellen, die mit JOSM direkt in OpenStreetMap eingepflegt werden könnte. Das wäre aus meiner Sicht schon ein erster Schritt zu einem Update der Gemeindegrenzen in der Schweiz, ein zweiter Schritt wäre die automatische Überwachung der Qualität der Grenzen in OpenStreetMap, ein dritter Schritt wäre dann die automatisierte Zusammeführung der Daten von swisstopo mit den bestehenden Daten in OpenStreetMap. Damit das möglich ist, braucht es aber sicher eine Diskussion des Vorgehens unter mehr Beteiligten. Je suis depuis quelque temps en contact informel avec Branko, qui a rapidement adapté son outil de manière à ce qu'il soit directement utilisable pour les frontières communales suisses [4]. Avec son outil, il est possible de créer un fichier à partir des données mises à disposition par swisstopo [3], qui pourrait être directement intégré dans OpenStreetMap avec JOSM. De mon point de vue, ce serait déjà un premier pas vers une mise à jour des frontières communales en Suisse, un deuxième pas serait la surveillance automatique de la qualité des frontières dans OpenStreetMap, un troisième pas serait alors la fusion automatisée des données de swisstopo avec les données existantes dans OpenStreetMap. Hallo zusammen Ist es möglich, eine Notiz für sich selbst in der Map zu hinterlassen, Zum Beispiel wenn man beim Sesselmappen etwas nicht so genau erkannt, und das vo Ort noch mals prüfen möchte. Tschou zäme. (Cross-Posting vom OSM-Forum, Diskussion präferentiell dort: https://c.osm.org/t/118013) In der Schweiz sind aktuell 13673 Defibrillatoren [1] erfasst. Mehr als 3000 Defibrillatoren [2]von diesen haben ein `access=no` als Zugangsbeschränkung. Fast 1800 Defibrillatoren [3] mit `access=no` haben zusätzlich erfasste Öffnungszeiten. Diese Kombination von Tags führt dann dazu, dass Defibrillatoren auf der OpenAEDmap [4] als nicht zugänglich ('Unavailable') angezeigt werden, auf der https://defikarte.ch/ dann wie im Screenshot im Forum, mit "Zugang: **no**". Dies obwohl die Defis während den Öffnungszeiten (der Apotheke in diesem Fall) problemlos zugänglich ist. Das OSM Wiki meint zu `access=no` dass "[d]as Objekt [...] nicht für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich oder seine Benutzung [...] verboten [ist]", was einem Defibrillator aus meiner Sicht doch ziemlich diametral entgegenläuft. Ich habe die `access`-Geschichte schon per OSM-Nachricht mit Defikarte-Macher @chnuessli diskutiert, weil viele Defis von ihm importiert oder von User:innen der defikarte-App erfasst wurden. Er meinte dazu, dass ein `access=no` aus seiner Sicht korrekt ist "wenn ein Defi in einem nicht zugänglichen Bereich hängt". Im Forum wurden die `access`-Tags von Defibrillatoren auch schon diskutiert [5], und ich hab' das Gefühl, dass sich bei Defis *mit* Öffnungszeiten ein `access=customers` besser eignen würde. Die Anpassung der `access`-Tags ist (Zitat @chnuessli) "ein Mammut Projekt", ich denke aber, dass das trotzdem angegangen werden sollte. Was meint ihr dazu?
