Hello every body, English bellow. ==== Je suis désolé de cous importuner avec ça mais j'ai un problème avec le contributeur Shernott (http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/Shernott) ou je n'arrive pas du tout avoir une discutions constructive. Ce que je retiens de la discussion c'est qu'il méprise les contributions des autres et que les sienne par contre sont irréprochable. Bien sur j'espère me tromper sur l'image que j'ai de lui et j'ai aussi mon lot d'erreur mais actuellement je suis dans une impasse). Le point central de divergence c'est qu'il veut absolument que toutes les zones aillent jusqu'au centre des routes ce qui va a l’encontre d'un véritable plan de zone de bonne qualité comme [1]. Et il est vrai que je ne veut pas un OSM au rabais. Pour être claire j'ai joint les messages échangé. Actuellement je n'ai pas répondu aux 2 derniers messages. Hello everybody! it's a bit unfortunate that I have to introduce myself on this mailing list in this way. I'm not quite sure how Stéphane arrives at this conclusion. Judging from the way he is acting (or editing), it seems to be more the other way around. And I don't think that my contributions are so bad and faulty that they need Stéphane's constant attention, "corrections", and "improvements". In some areas I played along with his wishes, but in general I find it rather tedious to have to juggle with three different parallel lines when I want to work on a highway. I have neither the time nor any interest to make "all" zones look a certain way. Given the diversity of mappers, I don't think there will ever be a unique way of mapping. However I was spending some time mapping with my mountainbike and GPS in and around the Bois du Jorat, a forest zone above Lausanne. And I do find it rather irritating that Stéphane insists now in having it look "his way", especially since I was still mapping in that area. But as far as I am aware, Stéphane has contributed a copious amount of (new) information by tracing aerial images in and around Lausanne and has probably already contributed more to OSM than I ever will. My ambitions are far more modest. I only map areas and places that I know and care for. And most of all, I am doing this for fun. So with regard to Stéphane's undisputed merits in mapping the area around Lausanne, I decided to withdraw from that area to avoid further conflict and to allow Stéphane to have things looking whichever way it pleases him and based on whatever data sources seem trustworthy to him. >From my point of view, the conflict is finished and doesn't need any further mediation. OpenExpo an der Topsoft 5. und 6. Oktober 2011 in Bern

Es gibt doch noch eine Open Source-Veranstaltung in diesem Jahr! Laut einer Mitteilung in eigener Sache hat TopSoft die Rechte an der OpenExpo übernommen. Daher findet die OpenExpo an der Topsoft am 5. und 6. Oktober 2011 in Bern statt und zwar offenbar als "Open-Source-Business-Park". Im Zentrum stehe das Zusammenspiel von quelloffenen Lösungen mit kommerziellen Plattformen. Gemeinsam mit den Organisationen Saffos (Swiss Association for Free & Fair Office Solutions), Lisog (Linux Solutions Group) und /ch/open soll die Veranstaltung auf die Bedürfnisse von KMU, grossen Organisationen, Verwaltungen und Schulen ausgerichtet werden. Multipolygon usage

Hello, With FischersFritz we have a discutions about where using Multiyolygone. Personally I relay like using multipolygon for many reason, essentially because I many times tine find some area where the polygone have some commons points, an some unwanted space or some overlapping parts, when we use multypolygone is clearer, and we make less mistakes. An other reason ti when we have some overlapping ways (sometimes more than 6) ti becomes relay difficult to select the right way. But the main disadvantage of using multipolygon is that's a bit more difficult to understand. than we can have some thing that that (start of the discussion): http://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewtopic.php?pid=184210#p184210 An other point is that if a multypolygon isn't complete his display can be not so good in Josm. Than for me multypolygon should be use if we have two area with a common long border to say something with more than 10 points in a row (rules that from now I didn't respect ;-) ). FischersFritz have you something to add ? What's your opinion ? Inkorrekt gerendertes Flussbett

Hallo zäme Kann mir jemand sagen, warum hier das Flussbett (Multipolygon) nicht korrekt gerendert wird? http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=-8.4949&lon=-74.3762&zoom=12&layers=M Rechts diese grosse blaue Fläche enthält eigentlich zwei ziemlich grosse Inseln. An der Multipolygon-Definition hab ich keinen Fehler festgestellt. Dachte zuerst, es läge an dem Tag "natural=water", aber auch nachdem ich den Tag entfernt habe, wurde der Fluss nicht korrekt gerendert. Könnte es an der Grösse des Abschnittes liegen? Gruss Danilo

Mapping wegloser Aufstiege

Und gleich noch eins. Auf meiner Tour habe ich versucht, die Wege aus der Topokarte nachzuvollziehen und diese als Vorlage fuer meine Route gebraucht. In Realitaet allerdings hat sich gezeigt, dass die Route zwar begangen werden kann, aber selbst der Trampelpfad der Rindviecher irgendwo aufhoert und einer steilen Grashalde Platz macht. Andere 'Wegspuren' zeigen vollkommen in die Irre und fuehren an unpassierbare Steinhalden, auf die sich allenfalls noch Gemsen wagen wuerden. Ich wuerde ja meine Gebirgstour nicht mit einem Autorouting planen, aber den Unterschied zwischen passierbarer 'Weglosigkeit' und unpassierbarer waere einen Vermerk wert. Hat Hier jemand eine Idee dazu? Die 'Wegspuren' in den Topokarten fuehren auch oft auf unmarkierte Wege, die dennoch leicht zu finden sind. Ich nehme an, diese Unterscheidung wird deshalb gemacht, weil eine Wegpflege auf solchen Pfaden nicht erfolgt, bzw. sich dafuer niemand zustaendig fuehlen will. Es geht m.E. also um administrative Gruende statt um gute Orientierung. Ich bin hier im Clinch mit mir selbst. Es gibt schoene Touren, auf denen die Orientierung nicht einfach ist und eine Hilfestellung Sinn macht, ohne dass eine konkrete Markierung zu finden ist. Insbesondere in den Wolken haette ich mir ein paar elektronische Peilpunkte oefter gewuenscht statt umher zu irren. Andererseits sind gut auffindbare, ausgetretene Pfade unmarkiert und auf keiner anderen Karte zu finden. Aber die Erosion kann daraus im naechsten Jahr schon einen Abrutsch machen, den niemand mehr aufarbeitet. Hat hier schon jemand Vorarbeit auf dem Gebiet geleistet?
