2024 est une année spéciale pour OpenStreetMap (OSM) : le plus grand projet de crowdsourcing géographique et open source fête ses 20 ans d’existence !

Pour cette raison, des événements spécifiques seront organisés en Suisse pour célébrer cet anniversaire avec des utilisateurs importants tels que les pompiers et les organisations à gyrophares, le tourisme, gouvernment, la recherche ainsi que les écoles. Voir “The Swiss OSM Jubilee Tour” (1). Les présentations de certains événements passés peuvent y être téléchargées librement.

Pour clore ce “tour”, un barbecue est prévu le dimanche 11 août 2024 dans le cadre de la réunion mensuelle de l’OSM. Le lieu et l’heure sont encore à déterminer. Voir “Réunion OSM Suisse” (2).

Le véritable anniversaire est le vendredi 9 août 2024, avec un site web dédié à la prétendue “meilleure carte du monde” (3).

Tout le monde peut y participer : Signe la “carte du 20e anniversaire OSM” sur le site officiel (3) et partage tes photos et visualisations de cartes sur les médias sociaux avec le hashtag 20yearsofosm ! Et bien sûr, signale à tout moment une erreur sur la carte en faisant un clic droit sur OSM.org (4).

2024 is a special year for OpenStreetMap (OSM): the largest geographic crowdsourcing and open source project is celebrating its 20th anniversary!

For this reason, special events will be held in Switzerland to celebrate this anniversary with important users such as fire departments and emergency services, tourism, government, research and schools. See “The Swiss OSM Jubilee Tour” (1). The presentations of some past events can be downloaded there for free.

At the end of this “tour”, a barbecue is planned on Sunday, August 11, 2024, as part of the monthly OSM regulars’ table. Place and time are still open. See “OSM meeting Switzerland” (2).

The actual birthday is Friday, August 9, 2024, and there is a dedicated website for the supposedly “best map in the world” (3).

2024 ist bekanntlich ein besonderes Jahr für OpenStreetMap (OSM): Das grösste geografische Crowdsourcing- und Open-Source-Projekt feiert sein 20-jähriges Bestehen!

Aus diesem Grund finden in der Schweiz eigene Veranstaltungen statt, um das 20-jährige Jubiläum mit wichtigen Nutzern wie Feuerwehren und Blaulichtorganisationen, Tourismus, Behörden, Forschung sowie Schulen zu feiern. Siehe "The Swiss OSM Jubilee Tour" (1). Die Präsentationen einiger vergangener Events können dort frei heruntergeladen werden.

Zum Abschluss dieser "Tour" ist am Sonntag, 11. August 2024, ein Grillfest im Rahmen des monatlichen OSM-Stammtisches geplant. Ort und Zeit stehen noch nicht fest. Siehe "OSM-Treffen Schweiz" (2).
