Hello,
Is there a way to map a historical panel for a track in OSM like the one in these pictures https://www.dropbox.com/sh/93zewzug7p1mcwd/AAAnCvgwf6ovN2KiIGBiuSZoa?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/sh/93zewzug7p1mcwd/AAAnCvgwf6ovN2KiIGBiuSZoa?dl=0 ?
Thanks, Claude

I guess you're asking about mapping these stone panels as individual features, not about indicating whether the way / route has such markings. (For the latter see the article on hiking https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Hiking and the optional trailblazed tag for ways.)
The stones themselves are probably best represented as point features (nodes) besides the way axis.
These stones seem to serve the purpose of way marks. (I.e., they indicate that the track / trail / footway goes along them and probably in what direction it continues.) From what I can find on the wiki, it's unclear to me how to tag them.
It seems like one possibility (the one discoverable from the article on hiking https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Hiking) would be tourism https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:tourism=information https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:tourism%3Dinformation combined with https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:informationinformation https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:information=trail_blaze https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:information%3Dtrail_blazeor with information https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:information=route_marker https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:information%3Droute_marker.
Another possibility (maybe even in combination with the above) would be marker https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:marker=stone https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag%3Amarker%3Dstone. It though seems like that should be accompanied with a utility https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:utility=* tag to indicate the purpose or topic (the "activity" as the wiki calls it) of the marker and there doesn't seem to be an established or documented utility https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:utility value for way marks.
I suppose the way is still there and still following the route marked by these stones, so I don't think the stones need to be designated as "historic" yet.
For the engraved text you may use inscription https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:inscription=*.
If there were some distance information on the stones (which *doesn't seem to be the case* on your two pictures) they could also be a historic https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:historic=milestone https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag%3Ahistoric%3Dmilestone or a highway https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:highway=milestone https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:highway%3Dmilestone. They also *don't seem* to mark any past or present boundaries, thus they're also no historic https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:historic=boundary stone https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:historic%3Dboundary_stone nor a boundary https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:boundary=marker https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:boundary%3Dmarker.
Kind regards, Raphael (das-g)
Thanks Raphael for your help.
I choose marker=stone information=route_marker historic=yes inscription=Chemin de Chaumont, Sans Issue / Chemin de la Dame
Both sides of the stone are engraved. And I added historic=yes because this marker is really something historic (and nice;). All of the modern markers for tracks in the forest are now in wood in Neuchâtel.
Kind regards, Claude

Salut Claude
I'd propose to tag this as marker=stone: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:marker=stone According to Taginfo there are already 32 objects like this in Switzerland.
