Hello, I find this Alti3D layer could be quite useful mapping path under tree cover or in remote areas. Exemple : https://map.geo.admin.ch/mobile.html?lang=en&topic=ech&bgLayer=ch.sw...
However it is not clear to me if this can be used for OSM mapping. https://www.geocat.ch/geonetwork/srv/eng/md.viewer#/full_view/1964cc81-5298-...
Any advice appreciated. Regards, Yves
Hi Yves
The Alti3d layer has been included in https://github.com/osmlab/editor-layer-index since we've had permission to use it. The main issue is that it doesn't cover all of Switzerland with the same resolution (yet, I would have to check what the time scale is for complete coverage).
But I've used similar (or better) data from the Cantons, for example Zürich, to map all kind of stuff in forests, and yes this is often superior to any other way of adding/correcting geometries.
