Dear list
I am looking for a tag to mark places where whipper chargers / cream blower capsules ("Rahmbläser-Patronen") can be recycled, i.e. a tag `recycling:X=yes`, according to the existing https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:amenity%3Drecycling scheme.
I posted at the tagging mailing list ( https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/tagging/2023-January/066903.html ), but since I suspect that these might primarily be a Swiss thing, I cross-post here.
If you like to contribute, please do so at tagging directly in order keep the discussion at one place.
Best regards and thank you!
Lukas
Steel CO2 cartridges exist outside of CH (the whipping cream aspect could be a bit specific).

PS: yes the ones for food use are filled with laughing gas (NO2), but they are still simply steel cartridges.

Hey Simon!
they are still simply steel cartridges.
Yeah right. It seems the original content wouldn't matter regarding the recycling process:
- https://corporate.migros.ch/de/nachhaltigkeit/recycling/tipps-tricks/recycli... - https://www.wiederverwendung.ch/Rahmblaeserpatronen
What do you think of
recycling:gas_capsules=yes
for covering all metal-made, finger-sized, single-usage containers for pressurized, non-inflammable gases?
One should note that https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:amenity%3Drecycling already defines
recycling:gas_bottles=yes
as
Pressurized gas bottles such as those for camping propane and butane. These are often prohibited elsewhere (See Coleman's Green Key program).
and a new tag should distinctly differ from it.
Best regards and looking forward to your input
Lukas
