Hi all,
While displaying a Mapbox map, I noticed that the label of the city of Vevey is rendered twice. [1]
After some investigations, I couldn't find the reason for that. As I can see, the lower label is the admin_center [2] of the boundary relation but I haven't seen which object is the upper label.
Could someone familiar with administrative boundaries and/or Mapbox styling please take a look, if it is a mapping or rendering issue?
Thank you in advance.
Rémi

Hello Rémi,
at [3] Mapbox label both (and with similar font-size) - the municipality Misery-Courtion https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/1683363 - the village Misery https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/650353412
maybe it's the same with Vevey municipality+town
but some municipalities are not show, perhaps due to incorrect use of the admin_level tag (villages node should not have it)
Regards, Marc

This rather seems like a bug in Mapbox to me. I found a similar issue: the municipality of Mont-Vully is rendered twice [1] although there's only one relation and no node with name=Mont-Vully [2].

(I'm wondering why only very few municipalities are rendered and why they are rendered at all.)
