Is there an easy way to do mass-edits in OSM, for example to upgrade the apparently obsolete highway=corridor https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:highway%3Dcorridor to its modern replacement indoor=corridor https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:indoor%3Dcorridor?

Hoi Sascha
I think OSM Conflator / Audit System fits best to this use case: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OSM_Conflator http://audit.osmz.ru/

It is fairly easy to do smaller large edits with JOSM and data from the overpass API. However -all- such edits over the very small level are subject to https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Automated_Edits_code_of_conduct . Not the least because very often the action in question is due to a misunderstanding.
For example in this case: indoor=corridor is part of SIT (Simple Indoor Tagging) and intended for corridor areas in indoor tagging, highway=corridor is an ad hoc tag used for tagging linear indoor features independent of SIT (and mainly in use because most routing engines currently don't know about area and indoor routing at all). With other words there is not a one-to-one relationship between the tags and it is not possible to simply replace one by the other without reworking the geometry.
