The Tileed Markers from lab are nice but have some back draws. We need to "render" the tiles and we need to maintain a some addons to openlayers to keep it working. Have someone experience with adding markers to openlayers which are dynamic loaded, like the tiles? Or is switching to leafle a better approach?
Maybe I don't get it well, but IMO that's where a swiss Xapi would be usefull. Adding new POIs from openlayer.format.OSM would be really easy.
