It seems to be very unlikely the source was 'observation' for any of.those specific edits. So at least those changesets should be reverted completly.

Not that I'm aware of. So probably neither on this list, nor at the Zurich "Stammtisch" meeting.
Unfortunately, the user that did these edits does not reply.

However, as there are so many, i don't know if this is even possible.
As long as there aren't any conflicting subsequent edits of the affected objects, it should be possible.
