Hi all,
The Missing Maps project[1] is hosting a small mapathon in Zurich at the Médecins Sans Frontières / Ärzte ohne Grenzen Schweiz offices[2] next week on Wednesday, March 2nd from 18-21:00.
The Missing Maps project is about introducing people to OSM and humanitarian mapping. The mapathons are typically 30 mins or so of introduction to OSM and the iD editor (JOSM users welcome :) and then an hour or two of mapping one of the Missing Maps projects with experienced OSM mappers walking around and helping new mappers.
Everyone is welcome to attend and participate, we just ask that you register via Meetup[3] as space is kind of limited in the MSF office.
So far we have 12 people signed up and who knows how many of those people will actually show up, but it is great if people from the local OSM community are there as it gives people a chance to connect and hopefully bring more people to OSM for more than just humanitarian mapping.
Either way, I will make sure to have a slide that gives all the details and website for SOSM and suggest people visit, connect and support.
Bring a laptop if you want to map and I hope to see you there!
Cheers, Blake
