The Swiss OSM homepage actually has been a discussion topic of almost every meeting I have attended. So, I would suggest that you join one of the OSM Stammtisch meetings if this is possible for you and if you are nearby Zurich. Here's the meeting questionnaire for the forthcoming one: http://doodle.com/8ebkeh3ys4qkqhfp And on Sa., 9. Juli 2011, I'm inviting all mappers to Hochschule Rapperswil: See http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/DE:Switzerland:Z%C3%BCrich/OSM-Treffen

I'm fairly convinced that the a Swiss site should
- provide information about Swiss OSM activities (for example a potential
future Swiss OSM association, ongoing todos and so on)
- be a place where you can easily find maps which either have a theme that
is of specific interest to the Swiss population, or are designed and generated by local mappers and organisations
- provide tools that are of specific Swiss interest (for example Sarahs
Swiss taginfo) and potentially specific extracts just covering Switzerland
We should not try and replicate content and documentation that already existis on the OSM main site, just try and make it easier accessible for Swiss mappers and other interested parties (government, media etc.)

Hi Community,
I plan to update the openstreetmap.ch in the near future. In my opinion the main focus of the website should be the map. For further information intend to link to openstreetmap.org where possible to avoid redundancy and keep maintenance costs low. As this are jest my 0.02$ i like to know the needs, wishes and ideas of the community.
What do you/we need on openstreetmap.ch?
