That's a good point to render our own map: hosting.
Adding some swiss-related links and non-map content is easy, and quite straightforward. It's a basic website work, and this could be a first goal to achive a page around the main slippy map. Rendering our own map means a robust hosting scheme, and a robust sysadmin team. Who can support the hardware needs? Or do we need sponsors? Who is OK to found a sysadmin team?

Actually we do have Swiss tiles from our OSM-in-a-Box project: http://geometa.hsr.ch/map/ . That was an experiment with a Swiss style GeoServer (not Mapnik). But it's only an prototype since we are not prepared (yet) to host such a thing .
