Zürich: Rosengartenstrasse - Bucheggstrasse - Bucheggplatz (Spurchaos)

Hallo zusammen In Zürich mappt ein Mapper von der Rosengartenstrasse über die Bucheggstrasse bis und mit Bucheggplatz konsequent immer wieder jede Spur als einzelnen Way. Das wurde schon mehrmals korrigiert, aber dann immer wieder "verbessert" (zuletzt gestern). Ich hatte ihn bereits mitte August auf diesen Fehler aufmerksam gemacht (per PN, nicht in einem Changesetkommentar), er zeigte sich aber nicht einsichtig und auch wenig kommunikationsbereit. Da ich keinen Edit War vom Zaun brechen wollte habe ich da dann keine Korrekturen gemacht. Im Moment scheint es dort aber doch ein bisschen die Züge eines Edit Wars anzunehmen. Könnte da mal jemand schauen der weiss wie in solchen Situationen reagiert werden sollte bzw. wie so etwas normalerweise gehandhabt wird? Grüsse Matthias

Gewisse Bus Haltestellen fehlen auf der Karte...

Hallo Zusammen Mir ist aufgefallen, dass einige der Bus Stationen nicht gerendert werden. Mit Overpass, Taginfo und Wiki habe ich nun versucht das ganze etwas einzugrenzen. Der entscheidende Tag scheint highway=bus_stop zu sein. Wenn dieser fehlt, wird die Station nicht gerendert. Im Wiki unter [http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:public_transport] kommt der Tag am Schluss bei See also vor. Die folgenden Overpass Query findet einige der unsichtbaren Bus Stationen (aber auch anderes): http://overpass-turbo.osm.ch/?w=public_transport=stop_position+AND+highway!… Nun stellt sich für mich die Frage ob der Fehler im Stylesheet (Mapnick, Swissstyle etc), in den Daten oder sonst irgendwo liegt. Dear All On small town Die Post is moving they own shop inside the Migros shop with only a small desk, in some case is only a self service computer in others case there is also an operator. How you tag this kind of "Desk Post Office" Thanks a lot G4rp

Updated street name completeness data

I've updated the GWR street name list (see http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OSM_-_GWR_Street_and_Place_Names_Compari…) to the BfS data from this November. Overall the effect seems to be positive, comparing http://qa.poole.ch/ch-roads/namestats_road-2015-11-27.png to http://qa.poole.ch/ch-roads/namestats_road.png This is likely to be due to improved categorisation on behalf of the municipalities, there are however some areas where coverage has gone down, please check these. Overall we now 85% of the roads correctly named, compared to a very early on visualisation qa.poole.ch/ch-roads/namestats_road-2013-03-01.png the improvements are obvious. As I've pointed out before there is still a lot of low hanging fruit that could be easily be checked and if necessary corrected. There are roughly 2'500 roads (2%!) which may have a small difference between official spelling and how the name is recorded in OSM and naturally some of these might be real typos. The map is changing ...

It has been announced many times and discussed in depth, but you may have not realized that the "standard" style on openstreetmap.org is changing significantly today. Not everybody is going to be happy, but it has been obvious for a longer time that the style, as it was, designed for a low data density OpenStreetMap, had to change to continue to be useful in the future. The main and most noticeable changes affect the road rendering and are the result of a google summer of code project. Oneway für Fussgänger?

Wir haben hier in Lausanne einen kleinen Fussweg, der an einem Ende von einer Einweg-Drehtür abgeschlossen wird. Daher kann man diesen Weg (bzw. diese Drehtür) nur in einer Richtung passieren. https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/61123307 https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/61240570 Wie könnte man so etwas mappen, damit das Fussgänger-Routing über diesen Weg nur in eine Richtung laufen kann? Das Tag oneway=yes gilt ja nur für Fahrzeuge, nicht aber für Fussgänger. Gruss, Thorsten
