Bonjour à tous, Je profite de cette liste pour informer la communauté OpenStreetMap Suisse que l'Association pour le Système d'Information du Territoire vaudois [1] a récemment ouvert un géoservice d'image tuilées de type "fond de plan" basé sur la combinaison des données d'OSM et de l'Administration Cantonale Vaudoise (bâtiments, relief et points adresses). Vous trouverez tous les détails sur le service ici : http://bit.ly/OekfaR Ce service web est mis à disposition de tous les membres de notre Association. Il est disponible sur une rectangle englobant le canton de Vaud ainsi que les cantons limitrophes / la France voisine. A titre d'exemple, voici une intégration du service dans le guichet cartographique intercommunal de la Riviera map.cartoriviera.ch : http://bit.ly/Qqp1B0 Ce projet, au-delà de la mise en place technique, vise à sensibiliser les professionnels de la géomatique au sein des communes et de l'Administration cantonale vaudoise aux démarches Opendata telle qu'OpenStreetMap. Nous espérons susciter de l'intérêt et, pourquoi pas, créer une dynamique auprès de ce public (mapping-party, libération de données,...). Je profite de cette annonce pour réitérer ma proposition faite sur cette liste en juin dernier [2]. SOGIS-Addresses

Hallo zusammen ich habe mich mal der SOGIS-Adressen angenommen und einen Versuch für eine Gemeinde (mit rund 4000 Adressen getestet). Da dies ein Import ist, hier der Hinweis, auf wie dies erfolgt ist: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Switzerland/SOGIS-Addresses Von den 4000 Adressen konnten rund 3700 auf bestehende, zu ändernde oder neue Gebäude übertragen werden. Die restlichen 300 sind entweder Neubauten, welche in den 2011 Luftbildern nicht ersichtlich sind, komplexe Gebäudestrukturen, oder Tiefgaragen (ja, viele davon haben eine Hausnummer) oder Zivilschutzanlagen. Falls keine zu harsche Kritik kommt, werde ich die Adressdaten dieser Gemeinde in den nächsten Tagen mal hochladen (mit separatem Import-Account....). Cheers Marc

During these missions, HOT will support the volunteers in accomplishing the training, mapping and outreach activities planned for each country during the months of preparation, involving the EUROSHA local partner organization as well as local and international humanitarian organizations, local government institutions, and local tech or social communities. We’d like to thank the persons who applied for the position of Field Coordinator with HOT in the EUROSHA project: there is no doubt that you will be able to contribute greatly to HOT projects in the future and we will be contacting you if any further project arise. Unfortunately the proficiency in French was a criteria insufficiently met by the applicants. Hallo Ich bin nicht ganz auf dem Laufenden, wie der Stand bei Postleitzahlen in der Schweiz ist. Aber der Bund veröffentlicht neuerdings die Daten (Shapes und Ortslisten) "Zuletzt aktualisiert am: 23.08.2012": http://www.cadastre.ch/internet/cadastre/de/home/products/plz.html und http://www.cadastre.ch/internet/cadastre/de/home/products/plz/data.html Was beinhaltet Artikel 24 der Verordnung über die geografischen Namen (GeoNV)? Vor allem was bedeutet "Der Datensatz ist flächendeckend über die ganze Schweiz und kann kostenlos bezogen werden." für uns? Hat jemand genauere Informationen oder schon Kontakt aufgenommen? Hängegleiter-Karte

In Anlehnung an die Diskussion zu den Luftfahrthindernissen habe ich mithilfe von TileMill begonnen, eine Hängegleiter-Karte (weiss nicht obs dafür einen besseren Namen gäbe) zu erstellen. Aktueller Stand: http://i.imgur.com/EtZvV.png Die Karte sollte folgende Daten beinhalten: - Gewässer - Strassen - Ortsnamen - Seilbahnen (nutzbar -> Gondeln, Sessellift) - Seilbahnstationen - Andere Luftseile (nicht nutzbar -> Skilift, Transportseile) - Startorte - Landeorte - Fachgeschäfte, Gleitschirmclubs, etc Dabei hab ich bemerkt, dass in OSM fast keine Gleitschirm/Delta Start- und Landeorte eingetragen sind (in der Schweiz nur etwa 12). Das halte ich momentan für wichtiger als die Luftgefahren. Hat jemand von euch Erfahrung, wie man sowas kostengünstig in eine richtige Online-Karte verwandeln könnte? TileMill kann u.A. MBTiles und Mapnik XML exportieren. Gäbe es eine Lösung mit Leaflet, die on-demand rendert? Gruss Danilo

Swiss Open Source Awards heute Abend in Zürich

Open Source ist zwar nicht dasselbe wie Open Data aber trotzdem: Heute Abend (19:45) findet die Preisverleihung der OSS Awards statt und zwar gleich nach dem Webtuesday im "The Hub" in Zürich. http://www.ossawards.ch/award-preisverleihung-2012/ Nominiert in der Kategorie „Youth“ ist u.a. ein Informatikstudent der HSR mit dem Offline Map App "NeoMap" (http://neomap.hsr.ch). NeoMap ist ein freies, mobiles Karten-App für Android auf Basis von OpenGL (3D-fähig!) sowie eine Website für lokale Pläne und Karten (genannt "NeoMaps"). Im Unterschied zu G* Maps werden NeoMaps zusammen mit dem Hintergrund immer offline verwaltet und es wird die detailliertere (:->) OpenStreetMap-Karte verwendet. Die 'NeoMap Sharing Website' ist - wie OpenStreetMap - ein Crowd Sourcing-Projekt bei dem jeder mitmachen kann. So kann man z.B. eingescannte Karten oder umgewandelte PDFs z.B. von Einkaufszentren oder Freizeitparks hochladen, sei es für sich selber (z.B. aus Privacy- oder Lizenzgründen) oder für alle. Vorher (18:00) findet der Webtuesday statt mit dem Thema "Scrolling through Langstrasse". Das Projekt "360° Langstrasse" präsentiert Zürich's urbanste Strasse als "StreetView-like Tour" mit einer Qualität, die einem Kinoerlebnis nahe kommt. Das Projekt hat bereits viele Awards gewonnen. Hoi zämä es gibt auch noch: - verbotene Flugzonen - Start- und Landeplätze - ? grüne - rote - und schwarze Fluglinien (Schwierigkeitsgrad?) - Infrastruktur - .... WIR KÖNNEN NICHT ALLES SELBER MAPPEN!!! Daher wäre es mMn sinnvoll: - zuerst über/mit Verband die wichtigsten Tag's zu definieren - diese zu erfassen (hab schon mal was gehört in Bezug auf Schwimmkarten und Wassergefahren .... taginfo) - Übergabe (Werbung / Schulung) an Vereine (an alle Luft-, Schwimm-, Velo-Routen- / Velo-Trails, ... Und dann ist mal eine saubere Grundlage geschaffen, die viele andere Helfer motiviert! (ja genau - SOSM braucht einen Tag-Minister mit einer grossen Abtl) Gruss, Arthur

Mapping Party am 11. August

Hallo zusammen, da der nächste 11. auf einen Samstag fällt, ist es mal wieder Zeit für eine Mapping-Party anstelle eines 'normalen' Stammtisches! Luftfahrthindernisse insbes.: (Alte) Seilbahn-Kabel in OSM?

Hallo Letzthin kamen Meldungen über die (saisonbedingte) Häufung von Unglücksfällen mit Gleitschirmen. In einem Radiointerview sagte ein Vertreter der Sportart, dass das Problem u.a. darin bestehe, dass 1. alte Seilbahn-Kabel nicht in Karten eingetragen seien und 2. es an (GPX) Daten mangle, die man kostenlos aufs Navi laden könne. Tatsächlich finde ich z.B. den Skilift von Bäretswil nicht in OSM. Könnte da nicht OSM helfen? Weiss jemand mehr zum Stand von solchen als Luftfahrthindernissen? LG, Stefan P.S. I see now the problem with merging boundaries and waterways. In many places the boundaries are still close enough to the riverbeds and they are better than any other information we have. So I mistakenly assumed that today's meandering boundaries were identical (and shifting) with the actual riverbeds, and not with historical ones. I don't know how often I find nodes of highways, landuse and other stuff stuck to boundaries. If you don't pay attention and detach these nodes before moving them, off goes your boundary. And there won't even be an visible error, except if you regularly run a bot that checks for shared nodes on boundary ways. I'm wondering if this kind of DO NOT TOUCH information wouldn't be better kept in a different layer alltogether, at least as some kind of a backup that can be restored on a regular basis. Thorsten

Hallo zäme Ich habe diese Woche gerade mit der Gleitschirmausbildung begonnen. Da stellt sich natürlich die Frage – wäre das wohl geeignet zum Erstellen von Orthofotos? Die Luft müsste natürlich relativ ruhig sein, damit man anständige Fotos machen kann. Zudem müsste man zu jedem Foto die Position und Höhe tracken. Würde wohl ein Vario/GPS-Tracker in Kombination mit den Foto-Timestamps reichen. Hat da jemand schon Erfahrung, oder gibt es entsprechende Projekte? Gruss Danilo

Help mapping non-mapped areas of Tajikistan

Dear all, I am using this channel to broadcast this information to all interested mappers. We have bought and put online a high-resolution imagery of the town of Khorog <http://osm.org/go/zxm5A1KA-->,in Tajikistan. Khorog (30000 inhabitants) is located at the Afghan border, 2000m a.s.l. and is highly exposed to natural disasters (earthquakes, avalanches, landslides...). The goal of our project is to build upon OSM to provide the first detailed spatial database ever. Those data will then be used (amongst others) for disaster risk reduction. If you wish to participate, here is some additional information: The first priority is to map: - All roads / streets / alleys - All buildings - Main natural elements (riverbed, landcover...) Hi Simon Ich habe Mühe mit der Gegend Brienz und Grindelwald. Diese Gegend ist auch noch mager erfasst. Für ein Schlecht-Wetter-Hobby sind alle diese Hintergrund-Karten wohl unentbehrlich? The imagery from the Cantons Aargau and Solothurn is now directly available from the "Background" menu if you are currently editing an area which is covered by the resp. sources (this is based on a bounding box which due to the rather irregular shape of both cantons naturally is not particularly exact). If anybody wants to have additional sources listed directly I'll have a look at it. -- Die Luftbilder der Kantone Aargau und Solothurn sind jetzt direkt vom "Hintergrund" menu verfügbar, falls man ein Gebiet bearbeitet, dass durch die Quellen abgedeckt ist (da beide Kantone etwas spezielle Umrisse haben und die Berechnung mit einem Rechteck erfolgt, ist dies nur grob richtig). Falls jemand noch andere Quellen gerne direkt verfügbar haben möchte, bitte bei mir melden. Simon

Bonjour Frédéric, Personally, I haven't made my own maps yet, although I played with the idea several times. The kowoma map goes a bit in the direction of the Swiss maps: http://www.kowoma.de/gps/freieKarten/osmkowomafreizeitkarte.html But when it comes to the differentiation of different types of paths and tracks, my favourite map is the one from openmtbmap.org. Extremecarver used to publish his style files under CCBYSA, but stopped doing so about a month ago. If you are interested, the last version I got is from 23.6.2012. Salutations, Thorsten (Shernott)
