Salut! Der nächste OSM-Stammtisch in Zürich findet in einer Woche statt. Wir treffen uns in der Bitwäscherei [1], ein Hackerspace in der alten Zürcher Zentralwäscherei. Address and Street Data Updates

I've updated the underlying GWR data for https://qa.poole.ch/addresses/ch/ and https://qa.poole.ch/ch-roads/ to the current data as of yesterday (2024-10-29) the previous data was from April 2024. Since the GWR switched to including all buildings and not just those with a postal address a couple of years ago I've filtered out addresses of the form NN.N from the overall statistics (they are available in the files that contain "all" entries) as these are not "real" addresses, I've further refined that now by ignoring buildings with the category values 1010 and 1080 see https://www.housing-stat.ch/de/help/42.html The changes and the update has reduced the overall count of relevant addresses in the GWR from 2'407'343 to 2'367'012 and the number of these missing in OSM from 732'394 to 698'960, the largest change probably being in Zürich which lost ~4'000 (Zürich is one of the municipalities that historically assigned any kind of building a regular house number, including for example the platform roofs at Altstetten station). The overall number of buildings (not addresses) in the GWR went up from 3'239'916 to 3'264'326 over the half year period since April. Simon

Hallo zusammen Seit einigen Tagen erhalte folgende Fehlermeldung bei einer Abfrage auf https://overpass-turbo.osm.ch/ Ein Fehler ist während der Ausführung der Abfrage aufgetreten. Folgendes hat die API als Fehlermeldung zurückgegeben: Error: runtime error: open64: 111 Connection refused /srv/ overpass.osm.ch/db//osm3s_v0.7.58_areas Unix_Socket::7 Leider habe ich nicht genau herausgefunden, wer diesen Service betreibt. Ist hier allenfalls jemand auf dieser Mailinglist, der das Problem lösen kann? Vielen Dank & beste Grüsse, Michele

"Ortsstrasse"?

Was haltet ihr von sowas: https://www.openstreetmap.org/edit#map=17/46.474752/7.459066 Verzettelte Häuser (dürfte es auch zB im Toggenburg etc geben), und dann wird eine solche Zugangsstrasse als "Ortsstrasse" deklariert. Ist etwas Ortsstrasse, wenn es Teil eines dichten Ortes ist (Dorf, Stadt, Weiler), oder einfach nur, weil Häuser einer Gemeide zugeordnet sind? Ich handle das wie ersteres. Diese Hangstrasse wär für mich Nebenstrasse (und manchmal asphaltierter Feldweg und manchmal Zufahrtsstrasse .. ich find das echt schwierig bei vereinzelten Bauernhäusern etc :) ). Ich will hier übrigens nix kritisieren, lediglich Anleitung. Cheers, Philippe
