Foto-Mapping

Hallo zusammen, kennt jemand ein Tool, das mir beim Mappen von schwer zugaenglichen Wegen helfen kann? Ich war kuerzlich auf einer Bergtour und habe vom gegenueberliegenden Hang Fotos, mit meinem genauem Standpunkt, Meereshoehe und Brennweite. Im Grunde sollte es moeglich sein,daraus und aus einem Hoehenprofil eine Projektion in ein extrapoliertes Luftbild umzuwandeln und das dann zu tracen. Gibt es das? Hallo zusammen, morgen Donnerstag findet der 21. Züricher OSM-Stammtisch statt. Die beiden bis jetzt angemeldeten User (Skorbut und ich) sind fest entschlossen, da zu erscheinen. A couple of tags questions

This morning I was mapping in Les Haudères (VS) and I have a couple oftags questions: 1. How to tag "Hotel Garni" ... I simply tagged it tourism:hotel, is there a more suitable tag? 2. I did not map yet (no idea how to tag) Colonie la Forêt, link: http://www.groups.ch/fr/k-0572-0568/colonies_vacances_descriptif.html ... note that "La maison est exclusivement louée à un seul groupe par période de location". I'm all for consistency, *if* we want full names in the operator tag, we should do this for all (public transport) operators IMHO. This would lead to some discussion on how to name them in detail and then we can prepare a mass edit for *all* stops, not just a few hundered and leaving the operator tag in a inconsistent state. Is anybody against reverting? I'll do it saturday, if nobody is against it. then we would have a consistent state again and can decide carefully about a possible mass edit. Beni

Kanton Luzern: Ämter einzeichnen oder nicht?

Hallo zusammen, "Der Kanton Luzern ist traditionell in fünf Ämter aufgeteilt. In der neuen Kantonsverfassung werden sie allerdings nicht mehr genannt, es kommen ihnen damit keine verwaltungsmässigen Aufgaben mehr zu. Das neue Gerichtsorganisationsgesetz von 2010 hat vier Gerichtsbezirke geschaffen, die mit den alten Ämtern nur teilweise übereinstimmen." http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bezirk_%28Schweiz%29#Kanton_Luzern Sollen die Ämter trotzdem eingezeichnet werden? Preparation for phase 5 of relicensing

The license working group essentially gave it's OK to start replacing data from mappers that have not agreed to the contributor terms in their meeting yesterday. It seems a bit early to me, considering there are still roughly 80 mappers per day agreeing to the CTs, but in any case we slowly need to come to a community consensus on how we will want to handle this phase. However before we do that, it seems reasonable to me to make a last effort to get in contact with mappers (Switzerland) that haven't responded yet. I've compiled a list of the mappers missing from the top 1076 mappers in Switzerland (this corresponds to 99% of the data) so that we can do this in a systematic fashion The list has a total of 224 names, but I've removed some special cases, so probably around 220 that should be checked. Please have a look through the list and check if you know any of theses personally or at least could get in contact with them. There are some obvious cases (mapping party in Vevey and similar) that should be easily fixable. Boundaries import

Hi, while we are redoing all our boundaries in Switzerland, could we maybe discuss the format of the boundary relations once more? In particular, I'd like to get rid of the subparts in those relations. As far as I know, we are the only country to include this subparts in the boundary relations. So, the first reason would be that we should do as everybody else. The second reason is that the relation, as it is now, is a pain to process. In most other countrys, subrelations are used to group parts of the boundary (see France for example). Not so in Switzerland. Just because of us, special processing is needed (i.e. looking at the role). I don't think the whole hierarchical grouping is needed at all. So, I would be really happy if they are just deleted. But if you really must have it, how about moving the subparts in the nation relation: http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/relation/16042 Sarah

National Boundaries

Hi As we now need to merge the national boundaries with the ones of our friendly neighbours the following questions come up: Which boundary way is to be considered more exact? - Switzerland/Italy It seems our boundaries are better. I suggest to remove the italien ones. The italien boundaries are still tagged with the old country:left country:right scheme instead of multipolygons. Should we leave it that way, just replacing the national boundary way? - Switzerland/Austria - Switzerland/Germany The existing boundaries are very close to the newly imported ones as far as I've seen. Suggestions? - Switzerland/France Has anybody already made contact to our friendly neighbours. Might be nice to do so, before we mess around with their boundaries.
