harmonisation toilets:wheelchair

Hello, I want to fix 2 types of anomalies related to "toilets:wheelchair" 1) 118 yes / no values for the tag wheelchair_toilet There is no tag with this name on the wiki, the correct spelling is toilets:wheelchair 2) 168 value "unknown" without interest. Indeed without a toilets:wheelchair tag, the presence of toilet accessible to wheelchairs is already unknown. After searching, it was obviously a bug on wheelpmap.org that added the unknown status when a user did not fill in all the fields. This bug seems fixed because I haven't seen a recent case. I 'll make 2 changeset to have a description for each reason. I 'll use overpass and josm find to do it. I 'll repeat it if new anomalies reappear, trying to seek why and to talk with their mapper. Liebe Mapper Unten leite ich einen interessanten Eventhinweis weiter. Die Open Tourism Data Hackdays werden vom Verein OpenData organisiert und SOSM (der Schweizer OpenStreetMap Verein) und ich (HSR) helfen da auch mit. Es wird u.a. auch eine "Mappingparty" geben. Reserviert euch das Datum - weitere Infos werden noch folgen. :Stefan -------- Weitergeleitete Nachricht -------- Jetzt registrieren: MAKE Open Tourism Data Hackdays Am 27. und 28. Oktober 2017 erwarten wir euch - Entwickler/innen, Designer/innen, Touristen/innen, Tourismusbegeisterte und Interessierte – in Arosa und entwickeln mit offenen Daten gemeinsam innovative Ideen für den Tourismus der Zukunft. Es steht das Sport- und Kongresszentrum in Arosa als Veranstaltungsort des Hackdays zur Verfügung. Übernachten werden wir im Hotel Sunstar, welches ca. 15 Gehminuten entfernt ist. Edits in Fribourg

Could somebody local have a look at these edits https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/cadastre%20Fribourg ? Not being "official" is defintely not a reason to remove information from OSM and given the name of the user they may be using external sources for the edits. Simon

Use of map.geo.admin.ch

I've just been pointed to a series of edits (organized by a very large and well known Swiss company) that have used material from map.geo.admin.ch for edits in OSM. These edits will naturally be reverted, but it would be better if people would not create additional work for the already overloaded DWG. To repeat: map.geo.admin.ch and and SwissTopo WMS services are completely off limits for any use in OSM. Even those SwissTopo datasets that have a "free" licence are not openly licensed and cannot be used without special explicit permission. Simon

Larger removal of street and place names derived from the GWR

The OSMF Data Working Group has removed roughly 9'000 street and 1'000 place names from the Swiss OSM dataset, because there is very good reason to believe that they had been derived from address data from the GWR (https://www.housing-stat.ch/) which at the time was not legal for us to use and currently has the same status, more on that later. Most affected is likely French-speaking and central Switzerland and naturally mainly such names that are not easily surveyable (which is why they were missing in the first place). Nothing was removed in the Canton Berne as the GWR data for there is essentially the same as the cantonal address data that we have access too. The best course of action is simply to get off that couch and go out and survey as far as possible what was "lost", it should be possible from comparing http://qa.poole.ch/ch-roads/list-2017-08-01.html with http://qa.poole.ch/ch-roads/list-2017-08-04.html to determine how much your local area has been affected. Quickly back to the current situation with the GWR. As you may know on July the 1st the revised GWR ordinance entered in to force, unluckily it seems that I was right in being skeptical in http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/SimonPoole/diary/41672 as, as it seems now, the main effect of the revision seems to have been to open up new business opportunities for SwissTopo but even that will not happen before 2020. All in all this means that until further notice use of the GWR address data on both the SwissTopo WMS server and map.geo.admin.ch (and most other data there) is completely off limits. Naturally additional political pressure on the federal counsel to live up to their announcement https://www.admin.ch/gov/de/start/dokumentation/medienmitteilungen.msg-id-6… with real instead of Fake-OpenData is more than welcome. cantonal road number

Hello, It doesn't seem to exist an uniform way for cantonal road number. Vaud uses rcrc_ref (rcrc for règlement sur la classification des routes cantonales) but it seems to be Vaud specific. For Fribourg, I didn't find the corresponding term and use reg_ref:CH:FR I didn't find any national tagging schema nor in wiki nor in taginfo. ref is already used for national road number. For example, national road no 1 between Domdidier and Avenches have a cantonal number of 3400 in the Fribourg part and 601a in Vaud part. Have you already tag a cantonal road number ? witch tag ? What do you think of harmonizing this ? A format like reg_ref:CH:AB where AB is the cantonal code in 2 letters ? something else ? Or maybe it has no interest considering most important missing things ? Regards, Marc

I survey the tertiary road again : no number on destination sign for this road (but I found funny error on destination sign) destination sign is in white -> according with https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Switzerland/Map_Features highway=tertiary is correct I found a few signs with the cantonal number on it. https://framadrop.org/r/_KD5JAHger#I9iId8pwbfXStxivazTLu9KRYEmnVwbdRfu7uIkl… FR for Fribourg 2510 for the cantonal number 25 for the sign number (it seem to be in increments of 25) 11 B : no idea, 2 others are empty. Another has 4.0 So as I found the cantonal number by survey, I may add it to osm. But I didn't find any previous tag used for that in Fribourg nor in the whole country in taginfo rcrc seems to be specific to the canton of Vaud So I temporary put it as reg_ref:CH:FR for regional ref, Swiss, Fribourg It is maybe not the best choice. I'll start a new thread to discuss a common way to do this across the country. Salut Angedacht ist eine HACKnight an der DINAcon[1] zu organisieren. Wobei Art und Weise - locker was zusammen hacken oder eher Hackathon[2] mässig - noch nicht feststeht. Ebenso ist das Thema - Zwei Themenkreise stehen zur Auswahl - derzeit nicht festgelegt.
