Since almost two years we offer encrypted access to our services. Back
then we bought a certificate for two years, which will soon run out. But
fortunately, since this year, there is Let’s Encrypt which provides
certificates for free. I’m happy to announce that we have successfully
switched and are now able to provide encrypted, secure access without
additional costs to the association (except the few days of time spent
setting it up).

Seit bald zwei Jahren unterstützen wir auch verschlüsselte Verbindungen
für die Webseiten von SOSM. Dazumal kauften wir ein Zertifikat für zwei
Jahre, welches nun ausläuft. Unterdessen gibt es aber Let’s Encrypt,
welches solche Zertifikate gratis ausstellt. Hiermit kann ich berichten,
dass wir erfolgreich darauf umgestiegen sind, und somit verschlüsselte,
sichere Verbindungen ohne zusätzliche Kosten anbieten können (ausser die
paar Tage Zeit, welche ich brauchte um das einzurichten)
